Y cerrando Utsurogi no Togabito (así como mi última entrada por este mes), aquí tenemos la tercera y última de sus canciones, la cual también resulta ser la más larga del mini-album.

Honestamente, creo que fue una desmejora comparada con la versión short-size que vimos en los OVAs de Tales of Symphonia y en Turaida, ya que se siente algo inconsistente musicalmente hablando. Para aquellos que no estén familiarizados, ¡esto significa que ya no tendrán necesidad de descargar e instalar las fuentes aparte! El navegador que usen se encargará aútomaticamente de bajar las fuentes para los conlangs empleados en el blog, las cuales son tres de las lenguas de EXA_PICO (Hymmnos, Ar Ciela y Emotional Song Pact) además de mi conlang original, el Dragoniano.

Sin embargo, he de advertirles que debo modificar a mano cada una de las letras para que tengan soporte completo, así que no se asusten si algunas veces los glifos no aparecen cuando traten de revisar alguna. I just wanted to announce that I've brought another novelty today in addition to yesterday's: now the blog has support for the CSS rule @font-face. So, what does this mean?

For those who aren't familiar with it, this means you won't need to download and install the fonts yourselves! The browser you use will automatically take care of downloading the fonts for the conlangs employed in the blog, which are three of the EXA_PICO languages (Hymmnos, Ar Ciela and Emotional Song Pact) as well as my own original conlang, Dragonian.

However, I must warn you all that I must update by hand each one of the lyrics in order for them to have full support, so don't be scared if sometimes the glyphs don't show up whenever you try checking one of them. Hence, I ask for your patience while I'm updating the posts and their respective translations.

Estoy seguro de que esto hará la navegación por el blog mucho más simple de lo que ha sido hasta ahora. Y no se preocupen: album que vaya terminando, album que iré añadiendo al navegador, aunque algunas canciones tendré que dejarlas sueltas simplemente porque son singles o porque el resto del album donde aparecen nada tiene que ver con la categoría en la que está incluida.

First of all, Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you're all having a scare of a time!

And well, remember I announced yesterday I was working in adding something new to the blog?

Well, it's now ready and you can see it in the right sidebar, just below the translations disclaimer: it's a tree view for all the translations I have made thus far. So if you want to access quickly to a song's lyrics, you just have to search which of the main categories it belongs to, and then choose its corresponding album or game.

I'm sure this will make browsing the blog much simpler than it had been until now. And don't worry: album I'm finished translating, album I'll be adding to the navigator, though several songs will have to be left on their own merely because they're singles or because they were released in albums whose rest have nothing to do with the category they show up in.

Novedades

Saludos a todos. Quiero disculparme por haber dejado abandonado el blog por tanto tiempo, pero es que estaba muy ocupado con otros proyectos, razon por la cual no pude traducir mas letras ni subir mas posts al mismo. Sin embargo, he decidido dedicarle algunas horas cada dia para darles una sorpresa con una funcion nueva que estare implementando dentro de poco, la cual anunciare y revelare tan pronto este lista. Asimismo, he estado revisando mis traducciones y he visto que muchas de ellas pueden mejorarse aun mas de lo que ya estan, razon por la cual he empezado a rechequear todas y cada una de ellas, empezando por las canciones de Ar tonelico. Espero que sea de su agrado, y esperen mas letras nuevas durante Noviembre.

Acerca de lo que Ha Pasado Ultimamente

Espero que hayan estado bien estos cuatro meses que he estado sin escribirles. Como podrán imaginarse, he estado muy ocupado con el trabajo y otras cosas. Del mismo modo, no he tenido tiempo para continuar traduciendo las canciones, razón por la cual no he publicado mas traducciones de letra, aún a sabiendas de que tengo pendientes tanto Wokashi como caTra de Akiko Shikata.

Pero por otra parte, también tengo varias cosas que comunicarles: lo primero es que realice traducciones para todos los drama CDs de Ar tonelico 1 asi como uno de Ciel nosurge; y como sabrán si han estado leyendo Siliconera, también traduje las dos novelas ligeras de Ar tonelico 3, muy importantes para la trama de la saga debido a que son el punto y final de la misma.

Por otra parte, el proyecto de retraducción de Ar tonelico 2 ha avanzado mucho más desde que sacamos la última beta gracias a que el experto en hackear juegos de Gust, RyleFury se unió al equipo; y la cantidad de adiciones y arreglos a bugs que el juego aún tenía ha sido realmente extensa. Asegurense de jugarla cuando la tengamos lista.

Del resto, he estado usando mi tiempo libre o para programar un software que necesita la empresa de mi familia o para jugar videojuegos, ya que necesito desestresarme un poco. En todo caso, trataré de retomar las traducciones pronto, así que esten al pendiente. Y muchas gracias a todos por su apoyo y por su paciencia.

Vengo a informarles que estare ausente por un tiempo debido a que me van a ingresar hoy en la clínica debido a que sufro atrofia severa de cornetes y eso me ha estado causando problemas respiratorios severos, así que tendré que someterme a una cirugía mañana para corregir eso. Espero que todo salga bien; y nos veremos de nuevo pronto.

Y aqui tenemos las traducciones para el último album del mundo de Lag-Quara que sacó Haruka Shimotsuki en conjunto con el círculo que ella fundó con Nao Hiyama: tieLeaf; el cual está titulado Nejimaku Tsuki Prelude -Hidamari no Ori-. Como de costumbre, consta de letras oscuras y pertubadoras, música espectacular y una historia interesante aunque algo vaga.

De entrada, el album comienza con un track que consta solo de sonidos de lluvia y alguien dandole cuerda a un orgel, pero después da paso a un hermoso arreglo de harpa del track introductorio Nejimaku Tsuki -Sinal "ar" ol "ir"- del primer album que salió sobre este mundo hace ya tanto tiempo atrás: Tsukioi no Toshi.

En cuanto a ésta canción en sí, es todo a lo que estamos acostumbrados de las canciones centrales del mundo de Lag-Quara: enfásis en los violines e instrumentación sampleada, la voz de Haruka haciendo la voz central y las capas corales que cantan en el idioma de Lag-Quara; y frecuentes cameos de la melodía tema de Lip-Aura.

This Year's Summary

Well, like I promised, here's a little summary of everything that's happened during the time I had the blog abandoned:

On one hand, I've been battling depression simply and plainly because life is getting impossible on the country where I live. I've got the luck that my family is well off economically, and that since I'm working on the company we ourselves built up, I don't have the suffering of haviing to search for a job or worry about spending on food, basic services and having a roof over my head. The problem is no matter if I spend my whole life saving up, I won't be able to buy a car or house of my own, so any idea of making a family of my own at this point is patently absurd. And what's worse, there are no signs of this ever improving, as the third-rate politicians ruling here don't do anything beyond sanctioning absurd policies and laws to bring harm to everyone excepting themselves.

And if you're wondering if working for the family company has any downsides, it would be that my father very frequently turns into an authentic ogre due to stupid and absurd reasons, like taking a few seconds in handing him a sheet of paper and having opinions opposite to him whenever he asks me. This has really affected me, but there's nothing I can do about it.

And going on, this goes hand-on-hand with the reason I've stopped updating the blog for so long: on one hand, I was very busy with work. But on the other, I once got too to a point in which I considered stopped translating entirely and closing up the blog because I felt my work wasn't being appreciated, as my translations are free for whoever wants them, and not getting even any words of encouragement really kills anyone's motivation. This last point faded away in a good part thanks to the launch of the Surge Concerto World Settings Wiki that Gust made back in April, but I still have these thoughts latent. This is also the reason why I've stopped going to many sites I used to frequent on the web: because I'm sick of the ingratitude and chronic stupidity of the people that hangs out in them.

And that aside, I've been having serious breathing problems ever since the year began, so I'll be having to undergo a minor surgery to correct the cornet atrophia and the retention cyst that are causing me that, as they're also causing me recurring flu, cold and amygdalitis attacks, which could end up turning very dangerous later. I hope everything goes well, as my sister already underwent a similar surgery back in June and it went okay, even though the post-operatory was hell for her.


Well now, going to more positive news, I've advanced a lot on the translation to English of the wiki I mentioned previously, and likewise, I've done several improvements on the EXA_PICO, including the fact that the Hymmnos, Ar Ciela and Emotional Song Pact fonts (this last one being an unofficial font I made in collaboration with the creator of the KeihanWrite program) don't need to be downloaded into the user's PC to be seen, as the are downloaded and show automatically, and I hope I'll be able to apply that feature to the blog later. And about that, later on I'll have to go back to my older translations, as they have several mistakes due to the scarce Japanese knowledge I had when I originally made them. That's the same reason why I've been retranslating all the songs on the Wikia.

Additionally, a friend gifted me a PSVita last year (yeah, it's old news, but I never got to post about it), so at least I could enjoy Ciel nosurge to the end and even take part in the Ion's Last Message event to get the voice disc and certificate that were given to the players that managed to fulfill its requeriments, as well as also getting a 7D Gate Passport to get access to two limited edition costumes for Ion. The ARM forums have also released their first music album (update: they've released two by this point) and artbook as a doujin circle, and even though I'm only part of the circle nominally, I'm still very proud to see the community having made this despite its scarce activity in recent years.

Finally, I'm still writing my stories about the world of Dragonia, developing both the world and the languages spoken on it, and several other things. I'd like to be able to write them faster, but well... some things just can't be helped.

Well, that's everything. I'll later come back with more translations, possibly some reviews, and who knows... Maybe I'll even end up posting my stories and notes on the Dragonia world here at some point.

Resumen de Este Año

Bueno, como lo tenía prometido, he aquí un pequeño resumen de todo lo que ha pasado durante el tiempo que dejé el blog abandonado:

Por un lado, he estado batallando con la depresión simple y llanamente porque la vida se está volviendo insostenible en el país en el que vivo. Yo tengo la suerte de que mi familia está bien económicamente; y como estoy trabajando para la empresa que nosotros mismos montamos, no tengo el sufrimiento de tener que buscar un empleo, o preocuparme por gastos tales como la comida, los servicios básicos y de tener un techo sobre mi cabeza. El problema es que ni aunque ahorre toda mi vida podré comprarme un automóvil o casa propios, así que toda idea de formar una familia en este punto es absurda. Y lo que es peor, no hay señas de que esto se vaya a arreglar nunca, ya que los políticos de tercera que gobiernan aquí no hacen más que dictar leyes y políticas absurdas en perjuicio de todo el mundo menos ellos mismos.

Y si preguntan si tiene algún punto malo el trabajar en la empresa familiar, ese sería de que mi padre muy frecuentemente se vuelve un aútentico ogro por razones absurdas y estúpidas, como tardarme un par de segundos en pasarle un pedazo de papel y llevarle la contraria en algo cuando me pide mi opinión. Esto también me ha afectado mucho, pero no hay realmente nada que pueda hacer al respecto.

Y prosiguiendo, esto también esta aunado a la razón por la que dejé de actualizar el blog por tanto tiempo: por un lado, estuve muy ocupado con el trabajo. Pero por el otro, también llegó un punto en que consideré incluso dejar de traducir por completo y cerrar el blog debido a que sentía que mi trabajo no estaba siendo apreciado, dado que mis traducciones son gratuitas para quien las quiera; y no recibir palabras de aliento siguiera realmente le matan el ánimo a cualquiera. Esto último desapareció en buena parte gracias al lanzamiento de la World Settings Wiki de Surge Concerto que Gust hizo en Abril, pero aún así sigo teniendo esos pensamientos latentes. Esa es también la razón por la que he dejado un montón de sitios a los que solía ir en la web: porque ya me cansé del malagradecimiento y estupidez crónicos de la gente que pulula en ellos.

Y aparte, he estado teniendo problemas respiratorios graves desde que comenzó el año, así que dentro de poco tendré que someterme a una cirugía menor para corregir la atrofia de cornetes y el quiste de retención que me los causan, aparte de que me están causando gripes, resfriados y amigdalitis recurrentes que podrían resultar muy peligrosas más adelante. Espero que todo salga bien, ya que mi hermana pasó por una operación similar en Junio y salió bien a pesar de que el post-operatorio le fue infernal.

Ahora bueno, pasando a cosas más positivas, he avanzado bastante en la traducción al inglés de la wiki que mencioné anteriormente; y así mismo, he hecho varias mejoras en la Wikia de EXA_PICO, incluyendo el hecho de que las fuentes para Hymmnos, Ar Ciela y Emotional Song Pact (esta última siendo una fuente no-oficial que creé en colaboración con el creador del programa KeihanWrite) ya no necesitan estar instaladas en el ordenador del usuario para ser visualizadas, ya que se descargan y muestran aútomaticamente; y espero poder aplicar esa función al blog posteriormente. Y respecto a eso, más adelante tendré que regresar a mis traducciones más viejas y rehacerlas, dado que tienen muchos errores debido a los escasos conocimientos de japonés que tenía cuando las hice originalmente. Esta misma razón es por lo que he estado retraduciendo todas las canciones en la Wikia.

Adicionalmente, un amigo me regaló un PSVita el año pasado (sí, es noticia vieja, pero nunca llegué a publicarla), así que al menos pude disfrutar de Ciel nosurge hasta el final e incluso participar en el evento Ion's Last Message para obtener el disco de voz y el certificado que se otorgó a los jugadores que lograron cumplir sus requisitos, además de conseguir un código de 7D Gate Passport para obtener acceso a dos trajes de edición limitada para Ion. También el foro de ARM ha sacado su primer disco de música y artbook como círculo doujin, y aunque solo soy parte del círculo nominalmente, igual es razón de orgullo ver para mí como la comunidad ha hecho esto a pesar de su poca actividad en años recientes.

Finalmente, todavía sigo escribiendo mis historias sobre el mundo de Dragonia, desarrollando tanto el mundo como las lenguas habladas en él; y varias otras cosas. Quisiera poder tomar un paso más rápido escribiendolas, pero bueno... algunas cosas simplemente son inevitables.

Bueno, eso sería todo. Luego volveré con más traducciones, posiblemente con algunos reviews; y quien sabe... Tal vez terminé publicando mis historias y notas del mundo de Dragonia aquí en algún momento.

Y prosiguiendo, con esto cumplo un pequeño pedido que me hicieron hace meses. Esta canción está relacionada directamente al album Remlerose no Majo, siendo un arreglo de la melodia principal que se escucha en muchas de sus canciones, así como en historia, es la canción que Andalucia y su hermano tocaban en el piano juntos, la cual terminó volviendose la llave para romper el sello en sus memorias.
