破れたボロを着て働きに出た息子

The son left to go work while wearing worn-out rags,
the memento his father left him being a leather coin purse,
he sighs upon counting the coins and seeing he didn't have enough,
as he needed money for his mother's illness.
El hijo salió para irse a trabajar mientras vestía harapos,
el recuerdo que su padre le dejó siendo un monedero de cuero,
el suspira al contar las monedas y ver que no tenía suficientes,

To make money, he was always accepting all kinds of jobs,
even digging up graves, even getting his hands dirty.

It was said that there was a dragon god in statue form at this land's end
that had a treasure that could exchange the weight of money for life span.
Upon hearing that rumor, the son flew out from the house
and climbed down the mountain,
his mother having an increasingly stronger
pain in the chest from being unable to stop him.
Se decía que había un dios dragón en forma de estatua en los confines de esta tierra
que tenía un tesoro que podía intercambiar el peso del dinero por tiempo de vida.
Al oír ese rumor, el hijo salió volando de la casa
y bajó la montaña,
su madre teniendo un dolor en el pecho cada vez más
fuerte por haber sido incapaz de detenerlo.

険しい道を越え無茶をした彼は
遂に知らぬ娘の前で行き倒れ

Crossing dangerous paths, and having acted recklessly,
he finally collapsed in the street before a girl he didn't know.

After hearing the reason why he was saving money,
she told him he'd die too if he kept going without eating or drinking.
Luego de oír la razón por la que estaba ahorrando dinero,

The dragon from the rumors had crumbled away and sunk into the spring,
eternal life and the dragon's treasure were no more than legends.
Being in low spirits upon hearing that story,
he led the girl by the hand,
and carrying a consolation medicine on his back, they walked back to his hometown...
El dragón de los rumores se había desmoronado y hundido en el manantial,
la vida eterna y el tesoro del dragón no eran más que leyendas.
Deprimido luego de escuchar esa historia,
él llevó a la chica de la mano,
y cargando una medicina de consuelo en su espalda, ellos caminaron de vuelta a su pueblo natal...

娘を連れて帰った息子　母は喜んだ
もしや彼女が嫁にくるのか
誤解は真実に
いつしか家に居着いた娘
元気になった母と
貯め込んだ金とともに
幸せに暮らしてる

The mother was overjoyed to see her son returning with a girl in tow,
thinking he may be thinking to make her his wife.
The misunderstanding changed into truth,
and at one point, the girl settled down into the house.
The mother regained her health,
and with the money they had saved,
they lived happily ever after.
La madre estaba contenta de ver a su hijo regresando con una chica,
pensando que él podría estar pensando en volverla su esposa.
El malentendido se volvió verdad,
y llegado el momento, la chica se quedó a vivir en la casa.
La madre recuperó su salud,
y con el dinero que habían ahorrado,
vivieron felices por siempre.
