祠に刻まれし竜の神の伝え
hokora ni kizamareshi ryuu no kami no tsutae
Engraved on the shrine are the teachings of the Dragon God.

清き水が流れる小さな村に
ただ慎ましく生きる人々が暮らす
kiyoki mizu ga nagareru chiisana mura ni

In the small village through which the pure water flowed,
only modest people lived.
En la pequeña aldea a través de la cual fluía el agua pura,
sólo vivía gente modesta.

流行病に苦しむ子を
救える力を求め
父は命を賭して険しい崖を登る

Desiring the power to save
his child who was suffering from the epidemic,
the father risked his life to climb a dangerous cliff,

岩場の洞穴（あな）に足を滑らせ
見つけた遺跡を進めば
仄かな光　苔生す壁は竜の鱗
触れると湧き出す

Slipping his feet into a rocky cavern,
when he entered into the ruins he found,
the moss-covered walls illuminated by the dim light were a dragon's scales.
When he touched them, a cold and
transparent water gushed out.
Metiendo los pies en una caverna rocosa,
cuando entró a las ruinas que había enontrado,
los muros cubiertos de musgo iluminados por la tenue luz eran las escamas de un dragón.
Cuando él las tocó, una fría y
transparente agua brotó de ellas.

愛し子の口元へ
瓶に詰めた水を垂らす【ひとしずく】
忽ちに病は逃げ去った
此れこそが竜神（かみ）の秘薬

tachimachi ni yamai wa nigesatta
kore koso ga kami no hiyaku
He spilled a single droplet of the water that he put into a bottle
into the mouth of his beloved child,
and the illness instantly disappeared.
This was the Dragon God's secret medicine.
El derramó una sola gota del agua que había puesto en una botella
en la boca de su amado hijo,
y la enfermedad instántaneamene se desvaneció.
Esta era la medicina secreta del Dios Dragón.

清らかな者の願いなら—
kiyorakana mono no negai nara...

幾度も竜の水は奇跡を起こした
病も傷も治し　畑を潤して
豊かになった村は望んでしまった

yutaka ni natta mura wa nozondeshimatta
The dragon's water brought forth miracles many more times.
It healed illness and injury, and made the fields richer.
The village that had become so prosperous desired　more.
El agua del dragón llevó a cabo milagros muchas más veces.
Sanaba enfermedades y heridas, y hacía los campos más ricos.
La aldea que se había vuelto tan próspera deseaba más.

やがて　水は腐り
欲深き者の色で濁る
怒り嘆きつつ
竜は空へ消えた
yagate mizu wa kusari
yokubukaki mono no iro de nigoru
ikari nageki tsutsu
ryuu wa sora e kieta
And soon, the water rot away,
its colors corrupted by greedy people.
Enraged and lamenting,
the dragon disappeared into the sky.
Y poco después, el agua se pudrió,
sus colores corrompidos por gente codiciosa.
Enfurecido y lamentándose,
el dragón desapareció en los cielos.

畑は干涸びる　命は果て
全て幻となった戒めに
石の祠を建てた村は
今も此の地に—
hatake wa hikarabiru inochi wa hate
subete maboroshi to natta imashime ni
ishi no hokora o tateta mura wa
ima mo kono chi ni...
The fields dried up, and many lives reached their end,
as everything had become an illusion as punishment for their misdeeds.
The village that had built the stone shrine
is still upon this land...

ya que todo se había vuelto una ilusión como castigo por su maldad.
