Sweet~ There's so much stuff in those I often wondered if there was anything in them that wasn't elsewhere, but I'm sure whatever new info in them has been included elsewhere by now.
More series' need books like those. I remember thinking I could get through the JP AT2 with that book if I had to, from the pictures alone xD
You said it, although actually the Perfect Guides have a few bits of lore and info that aren't in the Settei Books, such as the timeline covering the development of Hymmnos, the illustrations for the entirety of each region, and such. I also agree that the guides are excellent, and it's somewhat of a shame that no publisher was interested in releasing them over here.
Finally, I still have to continue hunting for bits and pieces to get all the information, such as the Salavec Rhaplanca Booklet or the 2009 Calendar from Gust.
Ah, I see I see, so there was new stuff in there after all. Mhmm, yeah, but I can understand why they didn't. It's an awful lot of work for a book that only sells for $30. And given that it probably wouldn't sell a huge amount of copies, it probably wasn't a gamble with a big enough payoff for them to take the chance.
Ah, wow, it's amazing how many pieces they scattered the info across o_O As much of it as there is.
