Y ahora comenzamos con canoue V ～竜の棺は泉に沈む～ (Ryuu no Hitsugi wa Izumi ni Shizumu/The Dragon's Coffin Sinks into the Spring/El Ataúd del Dragón se Hunde en el Manantial). Como de costumbre, la primera pista del álbum, 剣の記憶 (Tsurugi no Kioku/The Sword's Memories/Las Memorias de la Espada) es instrumental y por ello voy a omitirla.

Y con esta canción cerramos canoue IV, ya que la pista que la precede, 竜と少女 (Ryuu to Shoujo/The Dragon and the Girl/El Dragón y la Muchacha), es puramente instrumental, y la canción que le sigue a esta es la versión canoue de Tsukioi no Toshi, cuya letra ya fue publicada en este blog hace eones, de modo que no voy a repetirla.

Como nota extra, les debo agradecimientos especiales a barbarian illust. y ぎんとら por haberme pasado las letras de las canciones del resto del album, ya que no dispongo de una copia del mismo o de canoue chronicle II, y encontrar scans o transcripciones bien hechas de las letras me resultó imposible, de modo que sin su ayuda, estas traducciones no hubiesen sido posibles hasta que hubiese podido comprarmelo.

El significado de continuar quemando esta vida
mientras añoras la luz
está dentro de una pintura que fue hecha para olvidar la soledad.
La chica cuyos colores se han pelado
es un espacio en blanco en la historia que deseaba la espada de la salvación,
y aunque pierdas tus memorias,
tú, que continúas existiendo sobre este mundo
y que recibiste la corona del reino en ruinas

Letra - Hoshi no Sumu Heya

Y aquí tenemos la última novedad de Akiko Shikata: la única canción vocal con letra publicada del álbum recopilatorio de sus Best Orgel Works. Antes de pasar a la canción, creo oportuno comentarles un poco más acerca de este lanzamiento: es un compendio de seis discos de los cuales solo el primer disco es material nuevo: el resto de los discos son recopilaciones de los trabajos en orgel que la propia Shikata ha compuesto y arreglado, aunque desafortunadamente esto significa también que sus colaboraciones con L-M-P o los arreglos para orgel de sus trabajos para EXA_PICO, Tales of Symphonia, Umineko: When They Cry han quedado excluidos. Adicionalmente, este recopilatorio fue hecho a la orden, de modo que las copias que se lanzaron son las únicas que se produjeron y no hay planes de hacerle una tirada adicional o relanzamiento.
También, es el primer álbum de Shikata que incluye un disco de vinilo, en el cual vienen dos canciones nuevas adicionales, aunque desgraciadamente no incluyen letra alguna que yo pueda traducir...

Finalmente, respecto a la canción que traduzco en esta entrada, solo me queda decir que tiene una atmósfera misteriosa aunque divertida, algo así como el tono de Laylania mezclado con el de su álbum orgel Hagurumakan no Elde y una pizca de Tsukiyo no Ongakukai, al igual que una letra que alterna entre brillantez y oscuridad, aunque mantiene muchos de los toques característicos que hemos escuchado de Shikata en estos 20 años que lleva produciendo música. Y como dije anteriormente, aqui vamos ahora con el single de Haruka Shimotsuki "Yume no Hate ni". Este single tiene una historia tan peculiar como triste: es la canción tema de una novela visual de misterio y horror psicológico llamada Damsel que iba a ser lanzada por KOGADO, los mismos que lanzaron otras novelas visuales exitosas como Symphonic Rain, pero por razones desconocidas, el lanzamiento de Damsel se canceló al poco tiempo del lanzamiento de este single, de modo que lo único que nos queda de la novela visual es el arte del single y las canciones que contiene.

Hola a todos. Perdonen por haberme desaparecido desde agosto, pero he estado muy ocupado con el trabajo últimamente. Es por ello que no he podido continuar traduciendo letras hasta ahora, y me temo que tendré que dejar canoue IV de lado por los momentos.

Sin embargo, les tengo una pequeña sorpresa: por fin tengo en mis manos copias físicas de Yggdrasil, Yume no Hate ni y Stella Tone, de modo que me pondré a traducir las letras para estos tres albumes.

Primero comenzaremos con Yggdrasil, el cual es un álbum de Whisper Records en el cual Haruka Shimotsuki participó hace ya muchas lunas atrás. Sin embargo, las letras aquí seran del mismo estilo que Iuripuka del album Haikyo to Rakuen de Akiko Shikata, ya que aunque Will-o'-Wind e Yggdrasil están cantadas en un conlang, sólo está publicada la traducción de las mismas, más no la letra original. Aún así, espero que disfruten el finalmente saber el significado de estas hermosas canciones.
