El mini-album de fantasía de Maple Leaf (Haruka Shimotsuki), Wyrdrad no Shirabe ~Sacred Doors, Another Tale~

Como lo muestra el título, este también pertenece al ciclo de Sacred Doors de Maple Leaf; y aunque no sé cual es la historia que relata (mismo problema que tengo con Lag-Quara y Sacred Doors en general), al parecer trata sobre un grupo de músicos ambulantes. Las canciones que conforman este album tienen todas el estilo folk y fantástico al que estamos acostumbrados a escuchar en las canciones propias de Haruka; y espero que lo disfruten mientras leen las letras.

Noticias de Vagrancy/Akiko Shikata

Bueno, las unicas novedades que tenemos por ahora son estas:

El 29 de septiembre sacará un album conocido como Ar tonelico 3 Image CD [Utau Oka ~Ar=ciel Ar=dor~], que por lo que se sabe, contendrá las siguientes canciones:

1) Utau Oka ~Ar=ciel Ar=dor~ (versión remix de Harmonics TILIA)
2~5) 4 canciones basadas en mitos de Ar Ciel.
6) Ec Tisia ~Tarifa~

Mientras que el próximo Comiket (14 de Agosto), saldrá a la venta un mini album de Orgel llamado Nijiiro no Crayon, que será similar a Kara*Cola porque tendrá todos los Hymmnos de Ar tonelico 3 cantados por Akiko (y una instrumental) arreglados en forma de Orgel, junto con algunas canciones nuevas; y he aquí un vistazo a la tracklist:

¡Anunciado Ar tonelico III para América!

Sé que ya es un poco tarde para dar la noticia, pero bueno, ni modo:

De acuerdo al evento de prensa que NISA tuvo el pasado jueves; y a los sites que asistieron a dicho evento (en particular The-O Network, el cual es el site que reportó esto primero), Ar tonelico 3 llegará a América la primavera del próximo año, pero esto no termina aquí:

Como pueden ver en el logo, el nombre del juego fue cambiado de Ar tonelico III: La Canción de la Chica que Hala el Gatillo del Fin del Mundo (traducción literal del título en japonés) a Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel (Las Campanadas de Muerte de Ar Ciel).
Si quieren mi opinión, el título está bastante bien porque aún conserva los mismos matices que tenía el original japonés, y la palabra Qoga (escrita en Hymmnos qoga, y significa en dicho idioma "fin, muerte, fin del mundo") queda bastante apropiada, dado que esta entrega también es el final de la trilogía de las torres, de acuerdo a lo que el mismo Akira Tsuchiya ha dicho.

Además, me llamó mucho la atención el hecho de que el traductor se haya molestado en aprender Hymmnos y que vayan a revertir los errores de traducción y de cambio de nombres que hicieron en las entregas anteriores, por lo cual esta localización tiene un buen prospecto; y realmente espero que sea la mejor de toda la saga.

Siguiendo (y terminando) con el single de Katahane no Tori, he aquí el lado B, la cual tiene como tema central a las Siete Hermanas del Purgatorio. Tengo que decir que es bastante buena, por la variedad de instrumentos que emplea, aunque también es bastante oscura tanto en estilo como en letra.

Letra - Katayoku no Tori

Bueno, después de tanto tiempo en hiatus; y sin publicar nada, aquí regreso una vez más con las traducciones de letras. Antes de empezar con Wyrdrad no Shirabe y Harmonia, decidí primero cerrar con lo que queda de Umineko (exceptuando por Umineko no Naku Koro Ni ~Rengoku~, que la traduciré cuando empiece con Harmonia).

Como ya todos deben de saber, esta canción es el OP de la versión anime de Umineko no Naku Koro Ni; además de que fue el primer paso que dió Akiko Shikata como cantante para un animé. Aún si no es tan buena como el OP de la novela visual (entre otras razones porque las letras de Noriko Mitose son insuperables), es una excelente canción, en la que Akiko usa buena parte del rango de su voz; y la melodía es sencillamente grandiosa, a pesar de ser algo oscura.

Reporte de Mi Vida Actual/Current Life Report

Se qué tenía mucho tiempo que no escribía sobre mi vida personal, así que bueno, he aquí lo último que ha pasado de importancia:

En la universidad, no puedo estar más desmotivado... los profesores regularmente no vienen, razón por la cual es posible que termine aplazando varias materias; y para colmo, muchas veces termino llegando tarde porque hay demasiado tráfico entre mi sitio de trabajo y la universidad. Hablando de una ciudad extremadamente mal planeada y que nunca creció para acomodar a una población mayor...


En cuanto a mi trabajo, las cosas están marchando bien de momento; y aunque lo disfruto bastante, no elimina el hecho de que me haya quitado mucho de mi tiempo libre (tengo que trabajar incluso los sábados) y tambien, que es el factor que más contribuye al cansancio extremo que tengo cuando llego a casa; razón por la que todos mis proyectos se han ralentizado en extremo. Además, muchas veces los equipos que me tocan arreglar son innecesariamente complicados o con fallas casi imposibles de detectar, mientras que también hay veces que toca tratar con clientes que son de lo peor por una infinidad de razones.

En cuanto a vida *suspiro*... creo que ya he dicho bastante sobre cuanto odio el país en el que me tocó vivir. Sin embargo, no puedo evitar repetirlo, ya que las cosas solo siguen empeorando más y más: importar cosas es casi imposible ahora, los crimenes, secuestros, asesinatos y similares están a la orden del día (ya prácticamente no puedo salir si no es para trabajar o ir a la universidad); y lo peor de todo, los gobernantes de pacotilla que tenemos ni se molestan en intentar arreglar los problemas; y de hecho, solo empeoran las cosas. ¿O hay que mencionar el hecho de que retuvieron 400 toneladas de comida en uno de los puertos hasta que se pudrió toda; y luego reempaquetaron y distribuyeron todas esas cosas en los mercados del Estado?
Sinceramente, creo que ya ni siquiera Sublimation valdría la pena para este basurero (ahora que sé cuales son sus verdaderos efectos); y que sería mucho mejor que desapareciese sin dejar rastro, para que no infecte al resto del mundo.

Ahora, para hablar de cosas un poco más alegres, el punto bueno del trabajo es que por fin estoy ganando dinero; y puedo ahorrar para comprar algunas cosas que quiero (por ejemplo, un PS3), aunque tendre que esperar un tanto para hacerlo, considerando los costos y el descontrol de la inflación.

En cuanto a animé, estoy estancado: no he podido ver más nada desde hace tiempo por lo ocupado que estoy.

Respecto a juegos: he pasado varios desde la última vez que mencioné esto: Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Phantasia, los Castlevania de NES (menos el 3), todos los Castlevania de DS, The World Ends With You, Mana Khemia 2, Atelier Annie, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, .hack//QUARANTINE, entre otros. Y en estos momentos estoy jugando Final Fantasy X; y la verdad, de momento lo he disfrutado bastante.

Y en cuanto a proyectos, ya el Settei Book de Ar tonelico 2 está terminado; al igual que la Database inglesa de las Supporteil; y en estos momentos estoy trabajando en traducir el manual de uso de las Supporteil, para cualquiera que planee jugar con ellas. Todos estos updates pueden hallarlos en la wiki de ARM.
Oh; y respecto a la retraducción de Ar tonelico 2, aún sigue en proceso, pero muy lentamente. De hecho, creo que debería de añadir imagenes de los gráficos de nombres editados en el blog en algún momento.

Y bueno, eso será todo de momento. ¡Espero poder actualizar de nuevo pronto!

I know it has been a lot of time since I last wrote about my personal life, so well, here I have the lastest happenings of importance in it:

In college, I'm completely lacking any kind of motivation now... the teacher regularly don't come, reason why it's possible I mind end up failing at some subjects, and to top it off, many times I end arriving late because of the excessive traffic between mi workplace and the university. Talking about an excessively badly designed city, and that never grew to accomodate a larger population...

About my job, things are going fine at the moment, and though I greatly enjoy it, it doesn't erase the fact that it has taken a lot of my time (I have to work even in Saturdays), and also, it's the most contributing factor to the extreme fatigue I have when I return home, reason why all of my projects have slowed down a lot. Besides, many times the computers I have to fix are innecessarily complicated, or with faults that are almost impossible to detect, and there are also times in which I have to deal with extremely clients that are the worst by an infinite number of reasons.



And when it comes to life... *sigh* I think I have talked enough about how much I hate the country in which I had to live. However, I can't avoid repeating it, since things are only growing worse and worse with each day: importing things from the outside now it's next to impossible, and crime, abductions and assassinations are commonplace now (in practical terms, I can't even go out of the house if it isn't for going to work or to college), and the worst of all, the members of this third-rate government don't even try to fix the problems here, and actually, they only make things worse. Or I have to mention a recent incident in which they retained around 400 tons of food in one of the ports until all of it rot away, and then, they repackaged and distributed all that rotten food in the markets owned by the State?
Sincerely, I think that no even Sublimation would be worth it for this dump (now that I know what are its true effects), and that it would be better if it disappeared without leaving anything behind, so it doesn't infect the rest of the world.



Now, to talk about some happier things, the good point of the job is that at last I'm gaining some money, and I can save to buy some things I wish (for example, a PS3), though I'll have to wait a lot to do so, because of the costs and the uncontrolled inflation.

About anime, I'm stuck right now: I haven't been able to watch anything since sometime back because of how busy I am.


About games: I have finished some since the last time I mentioned this: Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Phantasia, the NES Castlevanias (except for 3), the DS Castlevanias, The World Ends With You, Mana Khemia 2, Atelier Annie, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, .hack//QUARANTINE, among others. And currently, I'm playing Final Fantasy X, and to be frank, I have enjoyed quite a lot so far.

And about projects, the Ar tonelico 2 Settei Book has been finished, as also was the english Supporteil database, and I'm currently working in translating the user manual for the Supporteils, for anyone that wishes to play with one. All of these updates can be found at the ARM Wiki.
Oh, and about the Ar tonelico 2 retranslation, it's still in progress, but advancing very slowly. Actually, maybe I should add screenshots of the edited name graphics to the retrans blog at some point.

Tengo que decir que esta es de las pocas canciones cantadas por Akiko que no soporto en absoluto. Las razones siendo que es demasiado oscura y sádica para mi gusto tanto en letra como en estilo de composición y arreglo; y la risa siniestra que suena a mitad de la canción (escrita en el booklet con ni más ni menos que la misma fuente usada en las líneas de Hymmnos corrompido de ee wassa sos yehar) simplemente me aterra. La musa a la que está dedicada esta canción es Polimnia, la cual es la musa a cargo de la música sagrada, de la retórica y de la pantomima.

Siguiendo (y casi terminando), tenemos aqui una de las dos canciones que Akiko hizo en conjunto con otros artistas especialmente reconocidos por su trayectoria en los videojuegos (y que curiosamente despues colaboraron tambien para Ar tonelico 3; y en algunos albumes de las otras Utahime).
Esta dedicada a Terpsícore, musa de la danza, poesía ligera y del canto coral. Creo que a ello se debe que la canción este llena de ritmos cambiantes, de coros múltiples; y a que el acompañamiento principal sea una lira.

Y disculpen por haberme quedado tanto tiempo sin publicar nada, ni por adelantarles en que trabajaria ahora, pero creo que resulta bastante obvio con solo ver el titulo de la cancion. En efecto, es Istoria ~ Musa, el album doujin en el cual Akiko colaboro con varios compositores, tales como Bermei Inazawa y Yoshitaka Hirota, para crear canciones en honor a las nueve Musas de la mitología griega. Sin embargo, Akiko solo cantó en cuatro de ellas (y de ellas, solo compuso y arregló dos); y como las otras cinco son instrumentales, no serán tratadas aquí.

Esta canción es para honrar a Calíope, la musa de la poesía épica y la elocuencia; y por ello, podemos ver que es bastante movida, además de cuan inspiradora es la letra.
